a long overdue update

my mama has given up on ever catching up, and she knows it's been a long time, but we've been busy. we built a deck, and we went to a family reunion, and i've been very busy learning about all kinds of things - counting, please, thank you, you're welcome. mama is amazed.

because we won't ever get you all updated with all the months worth of pictures that mama has, we thought we'd show you my trip to whitehorse.

it was my first time on a plane! this is what i thought of that:

but once we got up in the air and daddy got my movie out, i was sort of okay.

on the second day, we went to skagway, alaska. it was my first time ever going to the united states! i used my passport to cross the border.

they had these things called totem poles. i hugged one. they were tall, and sort of weird , but i wasn't scared!

mama and daddy shared their candy apple with me. the caramel stuck to my hands and i didn't like the way it tasted at all.

there was a train! there were actually lots of trains. this one doesn't move anymore, so we could climb on it.

this is me and my granana. she came to whitehorse with us to visit nana.

this is me and daddy in front of a giant paddlewheeler called the SS Klondike. i didn't want to have my picture taken, i wanted to run up and down on the dock.

mama likes this picture because she says it looks like i'm running away from the mammoth. but it's not real, silly!

at the macbride museum, i got to look around at this goldpanner's shack! it was neat. i even opened the door.

and what trip to a museum is complete without a cheesy picture like this?

and this is daddy on the zipline! i was actually sleeping for this, so mama took the picture.

i am 17 months old today. my mommy has about a billion pictures to put here, but before that, let me tell you what i've been up to.

  • climbing
  • jumping headfirst off things i've climbed
  • eating like an expert with my fork and spoon
  • saying too many words for mommy to list here
  • giving the sweetest hugs and kisses
  • also giving sneak attack headbutts when someone thinks they might be getting a kiss
  • playing in the dirt
  • tasting the dirt
  • asking to brush my teeth by pointing at my mouth and saying 'teeeeeeeeesh'
  • chasing the cats around the house and trying to pick them up
  • laying on the floor with a pillow or my stuffed pooh to watch tv
  • still using sign language, especially the sign for cookie
  • trying to help people put their socks on if they accidentally take them off
  • wanting to help with the camera
  • laughing hysterically at finding nemo
  • being smart and sweet and just about everything that makes my mommy and daddy smile [eww that was cheesy, mama]
pictures!

i have a trike at grandma and grandpa's. mama is going to get me something to protect my head.

in my calgary flames robe

we went to the cabin on the long weekend with uncle shane, auntie jodi, uncle dave and auntie gina. it was so much fun!

daddy taught me how to throw stones into the water.

daddy bought me a stroller to push around the cabin! i loved it. i put my 'woof' in it and pushed it around for hours.

i helped put grandpa's new BBQ together.

many many pictures. part 2.

shakespeare and i are friends. she loves me. i love her.

i take care of very important business every day.

since ball season has started, i go to the practices and show them all how to hold the bat with my patented toddler technique.

now that's it's spring, we can play outside! all day. i love it.

many many pictures. part 1.

yay! it's spring. that means lots of playing outside and getting dirty.

this will be a picture update. because mommy knows that's what you're all here for anyways.

mommy and daddy took me to aggie days, where i got to dig for dinosaur bones, and pet all kinds of neat animals. i loved it! it was great. and i saw my grandpa rod, there, too, which is always nice.

we went to the bird sanctuary and took some family pictures. it was lots of fun.

i LOVE bubbles!
