four months, first trip to the cabin

last friday, i turned four months old.

i didn't post because mommy and daddy had taken me on my first ever trip away from home. we went to this place they called the cabin. it was in the mountains. uncle shane and auntie jodi were there and so was my bed, so i wasn't afraid. okay, well i was afraid a little bit of the ceiling fan.

this past month i've gotten to be a happy, giggly baby. i smile lots, especially at pretty girls. and i will play by myself on the floor for a little bit, turning myself in circles so i can play with all the toys. and this past weekend, i tried really hard to roll myself over from my back to my tummy, but i kept getting stuck on my face. not sure why that happened.

now i babble at my toys. and i don't need to be swaddled to sleep. because only babies get swaddled to sleep. i found these things that someone told me are my feet, so i hang on to them in case they try to get away.

mommy and i went to playgroup last week. it was fun! the big kids are really big, though, and loud, so i just sit on mommy's lap and watch. this morning we went, and one of the big kids accidentally smacked me in the face. but i was brave and only made a little pout.

here's my four month picture with wicket. i am so big. i have no pants on because it was very very hot at the cabin on friday.

and a bunch of pictures from this weekend:

this is when they put my toes in the lake. the lake is like the bathtub, only way way bigger. it was cold. i only cried a little bit. but then i was scared that they were going to put me back into the lake, so i kept my eye on it.

this is my jolly jumper. i am not quite sure what i am supposed to do with it.

on the way home we stopped in this place called banff, and wandered around the castle. then we came out to this thing called bow falls. i kept an eye on the water, there, too, because there was no way i was getting in THAT.

it's hard to be little and have no control over the stupid pictures your parents take of you.

HI Honey,
you sure are cute, I would like to eat you up and when I see your pictures it makes me want to move to Calgary so I can see you every day but I am not sure that this is the right time.
Hugs and kisses

About the pictures that are meant to be like the ones your Dad's friend posted.
They are great, maybe you should tell your mom to enter some of them in baby picture contests.
When you win though you have to buy your nana a plane ticket so she can come visit you. OK????
Love your Nana who Loves you too much!
Tell mummy to give you a hug and kiss from me.
