busybusy six month old worker bee

i've been six months old for one week now, but i haven't had time to stop! i did take a six month old picture but it won't be developed for awhile - mommy had to use film. how archaic.

anyways, this past week has been crazy! my nana and uncle nathan came in on friday, then on saturday we had dinner with grandpa bev and grandma di at their house.

on sunday, we had a big party because i was christened. i don't know exactly what was going on, except that i was hot, i was in a dress, and a strange guy poured water on my head. but lots of people came to see me and i hope they all know how much it meant to me to see them!

on monday, we went shopping with nana, and then we went for dinner with uncle kevin, auntie kathy, rosie, and auntie crystal. i was pretty good for most of it but then i needed to go for a ride with daddy while he took uncle nathan back to the airport.

yesterday, more shopping! nana and mom are really, really good at spending money. but i got new toys out of it, so yay for me! after the shopping, we came home and grandpa bev and grandma di were here. mommy and daddy left. i was okay until i woke up from my first stretch of sleep. then i wanted to know where my mommy went. where DID she go? doesn't she know i'm the number one priority?

today, in the morning, mommy made me a bunch of homemade baby food. i tried the green peas and they were so yummy! then nana had to go home. i miss her already.

but listen. daddy said that this blog entry should just say 'it's hot. my gums hurt. it's hot. my gums hurt.' because that's the problem i'm having right now. i don't want to play on the floor even though i can roll like a pro, and even though i sort of say 'hi' now i don't want to say it. i just want to cry and stick my hands in my mouth. or the cold things that mommy gives me. they tell me that eventually i'm going to get a tooth but um, so far, nada.

anyways, here's lots of pictures!

i love to roll myself up in blankets. mommy says that's exactly why i'm not allowed to sleep with them.

i got to go to the stampede. basically, i cried and slept. oh and mommy and daddy got really excited about something called horses. weirdos. but the essence of stampede is lemonade from lemon heaven. that i get.

i went to a wedding and my auntie jenn looked so beautiful. she was a bridesmaid. i think that means she cleaned up after auntie danielle.

nana's leg is fun for crawling up!

this stupid bowl was STUCK to the highchair tray. i wanted to pick it up.

after i had bananas at grandma and grandpa's, nana gave me a bath in the sink.

how many grandmas does it take to get a baby out of a bumbo seat?

my christening!

baths are fun!

rollin', rollin', rollin'

guess what i can do now?

i can roll. and i can roll with a purpose. the other day i was lying on my blanket in the living room, and the furry thing they call cooper was nearby. he was just sitting there, being cute, minding his own business. i rolled over once. then again. then one more time. and grabbed his tail. hahahahahaha! you should have seen him run away.

i have decided there is no longer any need to try to crawl because this rolling thing is working just fine.

if you want a kiss, i'll give you one. but all my kisses come with a bit of slobber. mommy doesn't mind. hippo kisses!

in the last two weeks, i've met two more new people! first, it was my grandpa who is my mommy's daddy. he was nice. and funny. we didn't get any pictures though, because the camera was in the truck and the truck was with daddy.

and then the next day, my granana arrived. my granana is great! she makes me laugh so hard.

once my granana arrived, mommy decided we could try this thing called solid food. you know, it's pretty gross. i spit most of it out. and when mommy gave me some smooshed bananas the other day, i made icky faces but then i wanted more. mostly i just want to hold the spoon.

i think that's all for now. hope everyone is having a good stampede!

my cousin hailey lent me this ball. i really like it. it rolls itself around! like me!

i'm all ready for stampede!

this is my granana.

hailey was helping me to jump in her jolly jumper. she calls me 'no-aaaaah' because she hasn't learned yet how to say my name. and when daddy tried to teach her, she just blinked at him.
